SUSPECT HANDLING TECHNIQUES – 4-6 HOURS

Suspect handling is an important skill set to have, because once you have deescalated the situation or you have disarmed the bad guy, now what? How do you contain the individual or individuals? At 911 Academy we focus on containment of the hostile, so he or she can be apprehended, while focusing on safety. This class is not only great for the average civilian who finds themselves in a precarious situation, but also for security guards and law enforcement officers.

  • Defensive Techniques
  • Hand Cuffing / Zip Ties
  • Striking Padded Equipment
  • Joint Manipulation
  • Pressure Points / Open Hand Techniques
  • Two Person Take Downs
  • Proper Usage of Tactical Vest / Utility Belt
  • Identifying Passive Aggressive / Aggressive Combatants
  • Command Presence
  • Use of Force Continuum
